'Brokeback Mountain,' 'Capote,' 'Transamerica' up for honors
The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation has announced nominees for its 17th annual GLAAD Media Awards.
“Brokeback Mountain,” “Capote,” “The Family Stone,” “Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang” and “Rent” are the nominees for wide-release film.
In the limited-release category, nominees are “Transamerica,” “Beautiful Boxer,” “Mysterious Skin,” “Saving Face” and “Walk on Water.”
Cablers lead in TV categories with 16 noms, compared with 13 for networks. NBC scored five noms, while Showtime leads cablers with four noms.
Kudocast, to be broadcast April 15 on Logo and April 16 on VH1, features 113 nominees in 25 categories, as well as 45 Spanish-language nominees in 15 categories.
