A former military governor of Oyo State, Brigadier General Olatunji Idowu Olurin (rtd) is dead. It was gathered that the former administrator died on Saturday morning at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital(LUTH) after a brief illness. Aged 76, he is survived by is wife and children. The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain was a one-time sole administrator of Ekiti State after the impeachment of Governor Ayodele Fayose and his depth in 2006.

The former Speaker of the House of Representative, Ghali Umar Na’Abba, has revealed that he is alive contrary to the report that he is dead. Na’Abba personally debunked rumours making the rounds that he was dead. There were reports on Friday morning that the former Speaker had died in a hospital in London after a surgery. He, however, debunked the report in a video shared by President Muhammadu Buhari’s Assistant on New Media, Ahmad Bashir.
